each country has a very different take on the symbolism of the Cherry Blossom. In Japan people are reminded that the beautiful blossoms only remain on the tree for a short time before they float to the ground and kiss the earth a final goodbye. So... to Japanese people, the flowers are a reminder of a reverence for life and the truth that all living things eventually pass on.
